Kayaking Experience
I've been addicted to kayaking ever since the first time I was in a boat at 13 years old. Since then I have dedicated my life to kayaking.  Since my first trip to Scotland in 2004 I have developed a hunger for remote, exciting and spectacular destinations; this hunger drove me to visit the numerous places that I've been paddling in.  I have paddled in various places including the Scottish Highlands, India, Norway, France, Ireland, North Wales, Dartmoor and Cumbria.

Last Swim?
First water fall on the Mawddach: I messed up the lead in and just dropped of the edge getting pushed against the left hand wall at the bottom and lost my paddles then swam as my mates were laughing at me as I had forgot to vent my dry suit hence looking like the Michelin man.

What are you most looking forward to about the Expedition?
Paddling some first descents and being in places that not many people from the west have been before.

What do you think is going to be the biggest challenge on the Expedition?
Getting are boats and kit on the plane.

Any extra skills?
I’m incredibly clumsy and able to make a mess out of anything situation which to everyone apart form me is very funny. So I think I will be the but of most jokes on the expedition brightening the mood in hard times.

So why Vietnam & Laos?
So when we come back we can tell our grandkids “back in Nam I did (enter act of stupidly)”
Grandkids go "granddad I wish I was as cool as you"

What makes this Expedition so Special?
It’s all about getting there and doing it not just talking about it is some bar we are actually going.
